The Kilnworks Pottery and Art Gallery is one of the true gems of the Caribbean. Formerly, situated on the east end of St. Thomas, one of America's Virgin Islands, The Kilnworks Pottery remains the creation of Peggy Seiwert. Peggy started The Kilnworks Pottery in 1984 and continued to produce Caribbean art pottery at its finest, and to exhibit the finest Caribbean art and crafts made by island artists through 2008.
Currently The Kilnworks gallery and store is closed. BUT! its"trademarked" lizardware can be purchased at Gallery St. Thomas in downtown Charlotte Amalie. To order online or for more information click here: "Lizardware".

Peggy's new dream is to turn over "the reins" of The Kilnworks to an enterprising potter/entrepreneur who loves her work and would continue to produce her copyrighted designs. For more information about The Kilnworks and how it functioned, click on any of the links at the bottom of the pages -- or take the tour through the site by clicking on the tour link near the bottom of each page. You'll find many great gift ideas: lizard art pottery, Rookwood-like pottery, St. Thomas Virgin Island art pieces, and Caribbean original art in our Caribbean art gallery. On our fine art pages, you will find original paintings by Nandy King and Diane Kreiner. On the gifts page you'll find many affordable, colorful and unique pieces just right for that someone special, or for you! Be sure to check out the special offer on Limited Edition Birds of Paradise vases -- a specialty of The Kilnworks Pottery.
If this idea has caught your fancy, and you can envision yourself as a potter/craft shop owner on a Caribbean island with an almost turnkey situation, email me and LET'S TALK! Peggy would consider remaining on board as Founder/Silent Partner. |
